just because...
Last week just happened to be my birthday - I am just a few more years from turning "over the hill" - a thing which my Munchkin keeps reminding me of. I received the usual cards and things. Not a big to-do about it. My favorite part was probably my "cake" - which my neighbor baked for me. She tells me that she thinks of us as her other kids!
Gotta love Cherry Cheesecake!
I could have eaten the whole thing myself. I could just chalk that one up to being pregnant! BUT - I decided to be nice and share!

Happy 4th!
I had the honor of being stationed in Washington, D.C. for a couple of years. I fondly remember watching the Fourth of July fireworks display from the roof of our building across the river. i would consider these to be the best seats in the house! The shows were definitely something I will always remember.
Remember what the day celebrates - our freedom.
Please remember those who help protect this freedom!

Memorial Day
Let us remember all who are serving and have served in all branches of our armed forces on this Memorial Day. They shall not be forgotten.
We salute you!
My week
was the usual busy, but uneventful, day.
was not quite as uneventful. I got a call from the school nurse saying that my munchkin had thrown up in class, but was feeling a little better. He had mentioned that his stomach was hurting earlier that morning, but he didn't seem too worried about it at the time. So I had to run up to the school to pick him up. He came back to work with me and spent the day being my helper. I could tell, though, that he was not feeling up to par when he laid down on the floor face down and fell asleep for almost an hour. He was still feeling a little bad when we got home, but thankfully - no more throwing up.
